In 1967, Guzzi introduced one of the classic Italian road-burners: the V7. Everything old is new again, so for 2009, that bike returns to the States as the V7 Classic, positioned as a retro-styled entry-level Guzzi. Under its ‘60s skin, it’s all low-tech, low-cost components Guzzi fans will recognize from the ’80s and ’90s, like the “small block” motor, bias-ply tube-type tires, single disc brake and simple driveshaft. It won’t dine on Dues, but its light weight, mas¬sive low-end torque and easy handling make for a pleasant ride.
