Black is back, and the Night Rod Special is here to prove it. This is, for the most part, a standard V-Rod that looks like its been dunked in a giant vat of black paint. Just about everything-engine, frame, bodywork, fork sliders, triple-clamps, swingarm and small “speed screen”-is black. The slotted cast aluminum wheels have a thin orange pinstripe as an accent, and the otherwise-black exhaust system has brushed-aluminum covers on the mufflers. With the 1250cc engine pounding out a claimed 125 horsepower and 85 ft.-lb. of torque, the Night Rod Special is special indeed.
